This Superb Quality Antique Oak Tantalus by Betjemann of London ca.1920 is one of the best examples you can see. It has been made by the cabinet makers Betjemann of London. Betjemann & Sons was run by George Betjemann and his two sons George William Betjemann and John Betjemann. They were Innovative cabinet and box makers that featured their own Betjemann patent mechanisms. They were most well known for the ‘The Betjemann Tantalus’. This superb example comes with three decanters with labels Sherry, Whisky and Gin. The decanters come with stoppers and have been deeply hand cut with a fine design.

Superb Quality Antique Oak Tantalus by Betjemann of London

This Superb Quality Antique Oak Tantalus by Betjemann of London ca.1920 is one of the best examples you can see. It has been made by the cabinet makers Betjemann of London. Betjemann & Sons was run by George Betjemann and his two sons George William Betjemann and John Betjemann. They were Innovative cabinet and box makers that featured their own Betjemann patent mechanisms. They were most well known for the ‘The Betjemann Tantalus’. This superb example comes with three decanters with labels Sherry, Whisky and Gin. The decanters come with stoppers and have been deeply hand cut with a fine design. It has been made from beautifully carved Oak and comes with the original key with locking mechanism. The Oak is a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
