I have a writing bureau/secretary’s desk. Oval label/badge on left inside top drawer is marked A. Gardner and Sons Ltd. On outside back of middle of top drawer is stamped 26 (or 29) Jul 1957. I am at my wit’s end trying to locate a replacement key after my you granddaughter thought it looked like a secret key to a “fairy doorway” in the garden. However, she cannot remember where she has left the key. I have been searching for months now by buying keys over the internet from private and open stock dealers but to no avail. It has cost me a small fortune. I do not want to have to force the lock as the bureau was also a present for my 37th wedding anniversary from my husband. All my art supplies are inside the bureau. I recently took up drawing again after over 30 years but now can’t access my stock. I can send a picture of the bureau with a close-up of the lock if required. I would be ever so grateful for any help you can offer plus, you would be saving my relationship with my much loved granddaughter!

    Thanking you in advance,
