The Antique Serpentine Front Chest of Drawers is a chest with a very unusual shape, a wavy edge similar to the bow fronted but with half a bow front on either side. This design was first introduced in the Georgian period and these are most sought after by collectors in quality woods such as solid Mahogany. Only a very skilled Cabinet maker could produce such skilled craftsmanship so they are quite rare to find as they were not commonly built. You often see these made by renowned makes like Gillows of Lancaster, the rarest from the Regency period with brass lion paw feet or with canted sides and blind fretwork carvings.
