Quality Mahogany Victorian Antique Writing Desk
This late 19th Century, Beautiful Quality Mahogany Victorian Antique Writing Desk is in a serpentine shape and nice larger proportions, ca. 1900. It has the original leather writing insert that comes with lots of charm and character surrounded by a moulded serpentine top. This sits above a bow fronted central drawer over knee hole flanked by two shaped drawers all with turned ebonised handles. This elegant antique desk stands on tapering legs with brass and porcelain castors. The Mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of Mahogany wax finishing.
