Description
Liberon Wax and Polish Remover is a highly effective product designed to effortlessly removes old wax, dirt, smoke and everyday grime from antique and modern wood furniture before re-finishing or waxing. It is also suitable for use on interior woodwork including furniture, doors, beams, dado rails, and banisters and will not harm the original finish or patina, making it suitable for even the most delicate surfaces. It can be used on interior wood work along with furniture to remove built-up layers or wax which may be causing a haze or bloom on the surface. This is ideal for preparing before re-waxing or polishing but for best results we would recommend using Priory polish reviver as this will remove the old dirt and grime but it also revives the finish and adds a depth to the sheen of wood.

For best results soak the Liberon wax and polish remover on a pad of Liberon Ultra Fine Steel Wool (grade 0000) and squeeze out the excess and working on a small area at a time, gently wash the surface going with the grain where possible.
Allow a few minutes for the Wax and Polish Remover to work, then while the surface is still wet use a clean lint-free cloth to wipe off all the old softened wax.
Repeat this process until all the old wax is removed. Allow 24 hours for the treated surface to dry completely before re-finishing.
This product may damage newly applied French polishes, lacquers, varnishes and sealers. Always test product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility and end result.
Wear suitable heavy duty gloves. Do not pour into plastic containers or use on plastic or vinyl surfaces. Dispose of used steel wool and cotton cloths outside to reduce vapour build-up and fire hazard. Do not use on water-based varnish.
