Fiddes Table Top Polish, frequently referred to as heat resistant polish, is crafted from a combination of Shellac powder and Melamine, enhancing its durability. It features a clear, transparent look and is straightforward to apply. Compared to conventional French polish, it flaunts superior resistance to marking, making it perfect for dining tables and home worktops.
Directions
Ensure the wood is clean, bare, dry and free from any old finishes. The grain can be filled with a grain filler and the wood can be stained before application if necessary. Seal the wood using a Fiddes shellac sealer. Pad over the sealer to a smooth finish. Apply several thin coats of table top polish with a French polishing brush or French polishing rubber. lightly de-nib between coats if necessary. The more coats you apply, the better sheen you will create. Finish with a quality wax for further protection.
