Directions
Ensure the wood is clean, bare, dry and free from any old finishes. The grain can be filled with a grain filler and the wood can be stained before application if necessary. Seal the wood using a Fiddes shellac sealer. Pad over the sealer to a smooth finish. Apply several thin coats of button polish with a French polishing brush or French polishing rubber. lightly de-nib between coats if necessary. The more coats you apply, the better sheen you will create. Finish with a quality wax for further protection.
