Spectacular Quality Mahogany Gillows Breakfront William IV Antique Wardrobe
Attributed to Gillows Of Lancaster, this breakfront wardrobe circa, 1835 is of the highest quality and would provide an adequate amount of storage. With a break front moulded cornice above two central flamed mahogany cupboard doors with keys with working locks. The interior comprises of five ash lined sliding linen trays and below are two over two ash lined cock beaded drawers with beautifully turned handles. The outer two cupboard doors have keys with working locks and beautifully figured panels and each interior has a shelf above a brass hanging rail and most of the original turned pegs. This eye catching antique stands on a moulded break fronted plinth and splits into six sections for easy removal.
The mahogany has aged to a rich medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
