Crafted to withstand the rigors of the sea, Rustins Yacht Varnish imparts a brilliant, long-lasting finish that showcases the inherent grain and character of the wood. It is available in Gloss or Satin finish, has excellent adhesion and will not flake or peel when correctly applied.
Directions
Ensure the wood is clean, bare, dry and free from any old finishes. If applying over previous yacht varnish, it should be lightly sanded to provide a key. Shake well before use. Use a good quality soft bristled brush and apply evenly in the direction of the grain. If applying to new wood, you can thin using 25% white spirit. The minimum of 3 coats are recommended. Leave 24 hours between coats.
