Polyvine Crackle Glaze is a professional-grade product designed to help you create decorative aged effects on painted furniture. With its easy application process, this crackle glaze can add a unique and antique touch to your home decor projects.
Directions
Ideal for use with annie sloan chalk paint, with two different tones of paint colours. First apply your base coat of paint and allow to fully dry. Ensure the Crackle Glaze is well mixed and apply the crackle glaze in one direction with a good quality brush. This application must be smooth and even and allowed to fully dry. Apply the topcoat of paint (sometimes thinned with 10% water) and apply at right angles to the crackle glaze coat. Apply generous amounts of paint and apply in one pass only. The thickness of the topcoat determines the size of the cracks, so the thicker the coat of paint will mean the wider the cracks are. Leave to dry for 24 hours and protect with Polyvine Decorators Varnish or other suitable finish. Always test a small area first and follow the manufacturers directions for best results.
