This fine 19th Late Century Mahogany Antique Pedestal Desk by Maple & Co dates from around 1890 and is full of beautiful charm and character. This Victorian Mahogany antique desk has a rectangular figured Mahogany reinstated top above a central drawer over knee hole. Each pedestal has a drawer with satinwood cross-banding, boxwood string inlay and the original brass handles. This sits above a cupboard door, with moulded panels and again fine inlays. The interiors have one shelf. This charming antique desk stands on a moulded plinth and the Mahogany has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
