Antique Double Wardrobes are pieces of bedroom furniture usually all hanging or have an internal drawer with two full length doors enclosing the interior. The useful thing about these pieces is, they have ample storage but they also usually split into sections so they can fit up most peoples staircases. This type of antique wardrobe was mainly manufactured in the Victorian and Edwardian eras in Mahogany and Oak and quite simple looking but of high quality with figured timbers. They can be quite masculine looking as they were often built for the Gentleman of the house, so the use of chunky mouldings and very plain full length doors with just one small handle would be used. Some rare examples have glazed fronts, so your best suites or dresses could be displayed to impress. Have a look below at our lovely examples available for sale.
