Antique Centre Tables were most popular in the Victorian period built in stunning figured timbers from Rosewood, Mahogany to fine golden Burr Walnut. The best examples would have exotic or brass inlay or a marble top and come in unusual shapes like the serpentine with a moulded edge. These antique tables, would either be sat on a centre pedestal or on fine turned legs and usually with castors, so could be easily moved around.
