Spectacular Burr Walnut Victorian Antique Music Cabinet
This mid 19th Century, Spectacular Burr Walnut Victorian Antique Music Cabinet has been built by the renowned Victorian cabinet makers James Shoolbred & Co and dates from ca. 1870. It has the most stunning figured burr Walnut along with ebonized edges and a very unusual Roman design plaque. This Quality Antique Music Cabinet has a figured top with fine brass fretwork back sitting above decoratively turned carved columns. The cabinet has a central glazed door with key and working lock and the interior has four shelves with divides, having the original leather trim. This fine antique cabinet stands on four beautifully turned bun feet. The walnut has aged to a golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of antique furniture wax finishing.
