Dating from ca. 1820 this Spectacular Quality Antique Country House Elm and Yew Windsor Chair has a curved back with pierced back splat and turned spindle upright supports. The seat is beautifully figured and it is evident from the hundreds of years of use how smooth the wonderful curved arms feel. This Charming antique chair stands on four beautifully turned legs and benefits from the original crinoline stretcher. It has aged to a wonderful warm golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of bees wax finishing.
