Quality Victorian Walnut Antique Bookcase on Cupboard
This Late 19th century Victorian Walnut Antique Bookcase on Cupboard circa, 1870 is of superb quality and lovely smaller proportions. It has a moulded swan neck shaped pediment, above two glazed doors with key and working lock. The interior has two shelves. The lower section has a serpentine shaped moulded top above a frieze drawer and two cupboard doors with beautifully figured panels. This superb antique bookcase stands on four cabriole legs and has spectacular ormolu brass mounts. It has wonderful genuine charm, character and splits into two sections for easy removal. The Walnut has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of furniture wax finishing.
