Spectacular Victorian Satinwood Antique Sideboard
This Spectacular 19th Century Victorian Satinwood Antique Sideboard / Credenza dates from ca. 1870 and has been made by a true craftsman, stamped by W.Walker & Sons, 119 Bunhill Row, London. This stunning antique sideboard has a mirror back with turned finials, a small shelf and intricate inlays. This sits above a beautifully figured top and three cupboard doors, the outer being glazed. The central door has stunning inlays and this fine piece has reeded Corinthian columns with gilded areas. The interior still retains the original velvet linings and this elegant sideboard stands on an inverted break fronted plinth. The Satinwood is a golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
