Description
This stunning pair of burr walnut bedside cabinets are an attractive and practical addition to a traditional or period-style bedroom. Made using a combination of Victorian and later timbers, the cabinets have been fully restored and carefully finished, bringing out the rich colour and highly figured grain of the walnut.
Each cabinet has a beautifully figured and moulded rectangular top above a single cupboard door. The doors feature attractive moulded edges, striking burr walnut centre panels and brass handles, giving the pair an elegant and well-proportioned appearance.
The cupboards each contain a removable internal shelf, providing useful storage for books, bed linen and other bedroom essentials. The cabinets stand on moulded plinth bases and have a lovely warm walnut colour, with the distinctive figuring of the burr walnut providing plenty of character.
The pair have been sympathetically restored and are presented in very good condition. They have been beautifully cleaned and finished using a traditional beeswax wood finish, which enhances the natural colour and grain of the walnut while retaining the character of the furniture.
A matching pair of antique bedside cabinets such as these is particularly desirable, as they provide both symmetry and useful storage on either side of a bed. They could also be used as occasional cabinets or side cabinets elsewhere in the home.
The decorative leopard figures and ceramic tealight holder shown in the photographs are available separately. Please see their individual listings for details.
