Stunning Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Antique Cylinder Bookcase
This Late 19th Century Stunning Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Antique Cylinder Bureau Bookcase dates from ca. 1900 and has a moulded cornice with fine inlays above two astragal glazed doors with key, working lock and satinwood cross-banding. The interior has three adjustable shelves. This sits above a cylinder front with satinwood cross-banding, sunburst inlays in the corners and two decorative brass handles. The interior has a pull out writing surface, with leatherette, four small birds-eye-maple drawers and three pigeon holes. Below are three drawers all with brass swan neck handles, satinwood cross banding and sunburst inlays. This fine antique bookcase stands on shaped bracket feet, it splits into two sections for removal, has wonderful charm, character and has aged to a warm Mahogany shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
