Striking Victorian Satinwood Antique Chest Of Drawers
Dating from around 1880 and of superb quality, this Striking 19th Century Victorian Satinwood Antique Chest Of Drawers has been built by a true craftsman, possibly Gillows due to the design and highly figured timbers used. This fine antique chest has a beautifully figured rectangular top above two over three graduating drawers with superb quality original decorative brass handles. The sides are panelled and the piece as a whole stands on a moulded plinth with shaped bracket feet. The satinwood has aged to a warm golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
