Spectacular Feather Banded Figured Walnut Antique Bureau
This late 19th century Spectacular Feather Banded Figured Walnut Antique Bureau is in the Georgian design and probably built using early timbers and is of nice smaller proportions. It is truly stunning with a figured fall front, having moulded edges and feather banding inlays. The interior has a central beautifully figured door, three shaped oak lined drawers and eight pigeon holes along with six concealed pull out compartments. The lower section two over four graduating Oak lined drawers with decorative brass handles again feather banded inlays. The front is magnificently shaped, so could have only been done by a true craftsman. This stunning antique desk stands on shaped bracket feet and has aged to the most amazing golden shade of walnut with a striking grain, good patina and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of walnut wax finishing.
