Elegant Antique Regency Rosewood Games Table
This Elegant early 19th century Antique Regency Rosewood Games Table dates from ca. 1830 and is in the Gillows design. It has a beautifully figured top that swivels and opens to double its size, revealing a concealed games compartment in the process and a green baize playing surface. This fine antique games table stands on a central turned, reeded pedestal, with shaped base and four small turned bun feet. It has decorative beading around the edges and is a superb quality piece. The Rosewood is a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
