Rare George I Burr Mulberry Antique Chest Of Drawers
Of lovely small proportions, this superb chest of drawers are truly unique due to them being constructed of burr mulberry and date from around 1720. They have a cross banded moulded top above two over two graduating oak lined drawers with the most spectacular mulberry figured fronts and decorative brass swan neck handles. This splendid antique chest is full of beautiful charm and character and stands on re instated bracket feet and also benefits from maintaining the original backboards. The burr mulberry has aged to a warm golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wood wax finishing.
