High Quality Large Victorian Walnut Antique Settee / Sofa
Evidently of the highest quality and the wonderful work of a true craftsman from the Victorian era, attributed to Johnston & Jeanes and dating from around 1860. With a lovely carved curved scrolled buttoned back with a serpentine front and beautifully scrolled carved arms. This stunning antique stands on elegant turned bun feet with castors and has recently been upholstered so in lovely condition. The walnut has aged to a rich golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
