Fine Quality Victorian Mahogany Antique Writing Table

Dating from ca. 1900 this Fine Quality Victorian Mahogany Antique Writing Table / Bonheur Du Jour is in the style and quality of a Maple & Co piece. It has a leather writing surface with stationary compartment having a moulded inlaid hinged lid. The lower section has a Mahogany lined drawer with quality brass handles, has kingwood cross banding and stands on four tapering legs. It still retains an early retailer’s badge john Walsh Sheffield. This fine antique writing table has aged to a rich Mahogany shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
