Quality Large Antique Mahogany Bookcase by Gillows
This Edwardian Large Antique Mahogany Bookcase is stamped by Gillows and is a true quality piece, dating from ca. 1900. This Large antique Bookcase is break-fronted with a raised back and beautifully figured top. It has four glazed doors, the inner with astragal glazing bars. There is a key with working locks and each interior has two adjustable shelves. This fine antique bookcase with glass doors stands on tapering legs with spade feet and comes with delicate inlay. The Mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of furniture wax finishing.
