Elegant French Marble Topped Antique Cylinder Bureau
This late 19th Century Elegant French Marble Topped Antique Cylinder Bureau dates from ca. 1890 and is made from walnut. It has a brass gallery surrounding a marble top and three small drawers. This sits above a cylinder front with key and working lock. The interior has three small drawers and a pull out writing slide. This fine antique desk has two Oak lined drawers with key and working locks and it stands of four fine cabriole legs with brass ormolu mounts. Being over 100 years old this fine antique bureau has some old repairs consistent with age and use, giving great character and authenticity. It has aged to a warm Walnut shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of furniture wax finishing.
