Unusual Pair of Oak Globe Wernicke Antique Bookcases
This very rare and unusual Pair of Oak Globe Wernicke Antique Bookcases / Stacking Barristers Bookcase date from ca. 1900. Each antique Edwardian bookcase has four sections each having a glazed door that lifts and slides back using a brass handle. Below is a working drawer with Brass handles and they stand on a moulded plinth. Each section splits for easy removal. The Oak is a warm golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of Oak wax finishing.
