Georgian Mahogany Antique Sewing Table
This Stunning, early 19th Century Georgian Mahogany Antique Sewing Table / Workbox / Lamp Table dates from ca. 1810. It has a beautifully figured top above a frieze drawer with key and working lock. Below is a material lined compartment originally for storing wool and sewing equipment. This fine antique table stands on four tapering legs with an X framed cross stretcher for added stability. The Mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of furniture wax finishing.
