Spectacular Regency Rosewood Brass Inlaid Antique Secretaire Cabinet

Constructed from the Finest Quality Figured Rosewood, This Spectacular secretaire cabinet has the most sensational brass inlays that could only be the work of a true craftsman and dates from around 1830. It has a rectangular top with half round moulded edge above an unusual secretaire drawer with fall down front, green baize writing surface, four small birch drawers and five pigeon holes.  Beneath are two glazed doors with key with working lock  and the interior still maintains the original blue velvet lining with central shelf, ideal for displaying all those collectables.  The sides are elegantly shaped and this truly stunning antique stands on an inverted break front plinth with decorative beaded edge.  The rosewood has been finished to a rich shade by our professional antiques furniture restorers using traditional methods so is in excellent condition.

  • Simon Knight,
I reasonately purchased an Edwardian mahogany sheet music cabinet from James and have to say it is even better than the photographs. I have asked him to find a console table which will blend with the cabinet and feel confident that in time the right piece will be found.
