Hammerite Red Oxide Metal Primer is a high-quality coating designed to protect metal surfaces from rust and corrosion. Its unique formula provides excellent adhesion and durability, creating a base coat to ensure long-lasting results. This primer is easy to apply and dries quickly, making it ideal for both professional and DIY projects.
Directions
The metal surface must be clean, dry and free from any dust, dirt, grease, flaking paint or rust. Lightly sand with a coarse abrasive paper. De-grease all surfaces with Hammerite Brush Cleaner and Thinner and allow to fully dry. Stir the paint well before use and apply with a quality brush. Apply 2 coats and allow 6 hours drying times between coats. After your final coat allow 24 hours to fully cure before applying your chosen Hammerite Metal paint.
Always test a small area first to ensure compatibility.
