Quality Solid Oak Victorian Antique Bookcase on Cupboard

This Quality late 19th Century Solid Oak Victorian Antique Bookcase On Cupboard circa, 1880 is a fine example of the work of a true Victorian craftsman and is constructed from the finest quality oak timbers, possibly by Maple & Co.  The top section has a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with arched mouldings and key with working lock. The interior comprises of three adjustable shelves.  The lower section has a wonderful solid oak moulded top above two drawers with moulded edge and the original Arts & Crafts brass handles.  The two cupboard doors have two central raised fielded panels and the interior has one removable shelf and this fine antique bookcase stands majestically on a moulded plinth.  This quality antique splits into two sections for easy removal. The Oak has aged to a warm golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
