Pair of Antique Victorian Captains Chairs
This beautiful late 19th Century Country House Pair of Antique Victorian Captains Chairs / Smokers Bow Carver Chairs dates from ca. 1900. They have been constructed in a beautifully figured elm and beech with a curved back, shaped arms, turned spindle upright supports and a figured shaped seat. These charming antique chairs stands on four turned legs with double H stretcher for added stability and has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
