Dating from the early 19th Century ca, 1835 this Fine Quality Figured Mahogany Antique William IV Games Table / Card Table / Console Table has many uses. It has a beautifully figured top that swivels open to double in size revealing a concealed games storage compartment in the process and green baize playing surface. The top has an unusual beaded edge and this sits above a figured moulded frieze with scrolled carvings above central shaped pedestal. It has a shaped base with four carved moulded scrolls and stands on turned bun feet with castors. This stunning Mahogany antique games table is a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
