High Quality Edwardian Inlaid Antique Card Table
This high quality Edwardian Inlaid Antique Card Table / Games Table dates from the early 20th century c. 1900. It has an elegant D shaped Top that is beautifully figured with an inlaid cross-banded edge along with fine string inlays. The top folds over to double its size to reveal a green baize games playing surface and this is supported by a double gate leg. This superb antique games table stands on tapering legs and again has been beautifully inlaid using satinwood, boxwood and ebony stringing. The Mahogany is a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of furniture wax finishing.
