Unusual Edwardian Walnut Antique Tambour Front Filing Cabinet
This very attractive and practical antique tambour front filing cabinet dates from around 1900 in the Edwardian period and is constructed from Walnut. Being full of charm and character, only found in a true antique, this antique cabinet has a moulded rectangular top that is hinged so can be used as a writing slope, above a tambour front with key and working lock. The interior contains nine sliding Oak fronted shelves. The fine piece of antique furniture has panelled sides along with a moulded plinth and the Walnut is a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
