This Striking 19th Century Victorian Figured Golden Burr Walnut and Ebonized Arts & Crafts Antique Centre Table / Side Table / Writing Table is extremely versatile and dates from around 1870. It has a beautifully figured burr walnut moulded top with ebonized areas having decorative fine carvings. This fine antique table stands on beautifully turned reeded column supports, has carved scrolled legs with white porcelain castors and a central turned cross stretcher for added stability. The burr walnut has aged to a rich golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
