This Striking Break Fronted Mahogany Library Bookcase Dates From Around 1800 In The Georgian Era And is a truly sensational piece. With a break fronted moulded top above four astragal glazed doors with keys with working locks. The central interior comprises of two shelves and the outer ones comprise of three. The Lower section has a break fronted moulded top above two over two graduating oak lined cock beaded drawers with beautifully figured fronts and quality brass handles. The outer cupboards are beautifully figured with moulded edges and keys with working locks. This breathtaking bookcase stands on a moulded break fronted plinth and splits into several sections for easy removal, it has minor old repairs that would not be visible to the untrained eye and would not detract from the beauty of this amazing antique. The mahogany has aged to a rich mellow shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
