Spectacular Victorian Plum Pudding Mahogany Antique Triple Wardrobe
Stamped by the cabinet makers James Allan Aberdeen and dating from around 1900, this spectacular triple wardrobe provides an adequate amount of storage and would look truly stunning in most bedrooms. It has a break fronted moulded cornice above a central mirrored door flanked by two outer doors with unusual moulding and spectacular plum pudding figured panels. The two left hand interiors have a brass hanging rail and hooks and the right hand interior has a fixed shelf above three sliding linen trays and two deep drawers with brass handles. The lower section has three drawers with decorative brass handles and the piece as a whole stands on turned bun feet and splits into several sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
