Quality Antique Oak Wainscot Chair
This Quality late 19th century Antique Oak Wainscot Chair dates from ca. 1890 and is in the 17th Century design. It was been gifted to Ulverston Baptist Church in Feb 1936 and has a brass plaque on the top. This quality antique chair has a magnificent carved back and front edge with a central Griffin. The two outer arms are scrolled; it stands on beautifully turned legs and has a cushion for added comfort. The Oak has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
