Magnificent 17th Century Warm Figured Oak Antique Mule Chest

This Magnificent 17th Century Warm Figured Period Oak Antique Mule Chest / Coffer dates from ca. 1650 and has a very unusual drawer configuration with three over two over one longer drawer all with brass swan neck handles. It has a beautifully figured lid with ample storage above three beautifully figured panels and each drawer is Oak lined with cock-beaded edges. This fine antique chest stands on shaped bracket feet, has wonderful charm, character and has aged to a warm Oak shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
