Georgian Antique Mahogany Crossbanded Cupboard on Chest
Of Unusual Slim Proportions This Antique Mahogany Crossbanded Cupboard on Chest dates from around 1790 in the Georgian period. It has a moulded cornice with dental moulding above a beautifully crossbanded cupboard door with key with working lock. The interior has one adjustable shelf and three smaller oak lined drawers with decorative brass handles. The lower section has a moulded top above two graduating cock beaded oak lined drawers with decorative brass handles. It stands on shaped bracket feet and splits into two sections for easy removal and is full of the charm and character that you would expect to find from a true antique. The mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
