Early Eighteenth Century Period Oak Antique Harness Cupboard
This Superb Country Oak Eighteenth Century Antique Harness Cupboard dating from around 1720 is a splendid example of a true early oak piece and is of pegged construction. It has a small moulded cornice, above two panelled doors with moulded edges and small brass handle. The interior has the original wonderful oak backboards and hanging hooks. The lower section has two oak lined drawers with brass swan neck handles. This splendid piece is full of the charm and character that you can expect from being over two hundred and fifty years old and stands on raised feet and has panelled sides and splits into two sections for easy removal. . The oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
